Automatically reverting to direct connection on Mc

I have a Mac and am running on Chrome.
I have made a UK profile with UK IP but when I try to switch to the profile 
chrome is automatically reverting to direct connection and is not working.
Have tried to other IP address and still have the same problem

What steps will reproduce the problem?
