Launch Method

Launched via SD Card running TWiLight Menu++ v27.5.3

Version used

Release v1.5.5 is what I have most recently tested it on. I had also encountered it on a previous version, but do not recall the number as I had updated it as a possible solution.

Game tested/used/applicable

Title: "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Explorers of Sky (USA)"
SHA-1: 5FA96CA8D8DD6405D6CD2BAD73ED68BC73A9D152
MD5: 10AF6A1A4D90FFB48BFB6C444324F7FD

Expected Behavior

One should able to take a step without "an unseen force" wiping you out. You should be able to progress past the first tile you spawn on.

Actual Behavior

When you use an attack or move, an "unseen force" wipes you out. This is a mechanic in the games that occurs when players spend too much time on a single floor.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select New Save File
  2. Complete Quiz
  3. Enter Beach Cave
  4. Complete An Action

Other notes

ROM appears to work as expected in another emulator. I have even tested a freshly dumped ROM from my personal copy. I tested this with both encrypted and decrypted versions I obtained as well, but the log is from the most recent test on the one I personally dumped (which also works as expected in another emulator). I'll try this with an already existing .sav file loaded and see if it occurs there as well when I have the time.

EDIT: I've tested my old .sav from the physical copy, and it appears to occur in other dungeons, not just the first one. It seems whatever issue there is occurs even when loading existing save games as well, so it isn't something that is triggered solely when creating a new save file.

Will you be available for future issues and/or replies?
