What

When in Markdown editing mode, code blocks don't have any sort of formatting or highlighting.

image

Why

It would make reading Markdown notes in editing mode easier if we formatted code blocks similarly to how we format code snippets (text wrapped in single backticks).

How

It would be nice if, at a minimum, we formatted code blocks similarly to how we format single-line snippets.

I would very much appreciate this feature. I would like code blocks surrounded by backticks to at least be rendered in monospace font in editing mode. Bonus if it can have syntax highlighting too.

Here is a screenshot of Bear notes as an example of how code looks in markdown editing mode:

I would find this feature useful because I edit my notes so frequently that I almost never look at the notes in markdown preview mode.
