Hi, I was thinking it would be very useful to have a dashed cylinder representation for breaks or discontinuities within protein chains, as ChimeraX does. This could be a boolean flag, perhaps on setViewStyle, with its colour and width arguments. This would be really helpful to clearly spot these discontinuities and tell them apart from the N and C-termini of the protein chains. Colouring cylinder halves based on the colour of the atom is possibly overkill, but could be the default if not colour is provided.
An example to try this on is 7KSA
Thanks a bunch!
